Each of our Education Prizes is aimed at a distinct set of chemistry educators whose dedication, brilliance and expertise is making an impact to the future of science. This is an opportunity to learn about and celebrate the amazing progress that is being made by our community in tackling global challenges and innovating for a better future for all of us.

Our Excellence in Education Prizes celebrate inspirational, innovative, and dedicated people working in primary, secondary, further education and higher education 鈥 including teachers, technicians and more, as well as including specific prizes for teams and for those in the early stages of their career.

I was so shocked to receive this prize! I rarely recognise my own strengths, and it often takes others to highlight my knowledge and expertise. It鈥檚 moments like these that really put things into perspective for me. My colleagues have been a crucial part of my journey; without their enthusiasm for science and their willingness to embrace new ideas and innovations, I certainly wouldn鈥檛 have attained the success I have.

Open to international entries this year, the Nyholm Prize for Education recognises inspirational, innovative and dedicated individuals or teams making a substantial and sustained impact within education. The prize recognises a wide range of skills 鈥 from curriculum design to effective teaching, and from personal development to working culture.

The Horizon Prizes for Education highlight recent initiatives that are set to make a real impact within the field of education. These could include teaching programmes or techniques, research breakthroughs, innovative technologies and more.

Winning this prize means the world to us because it recognises the young people who are at the heart of everything we do. Every resource we create, every event we run, every partnership we build, it鈥檚 all driven by the belief that every child deserves to feel seen, valued and inspired in STEM. This award is a celebration of their potential, their creativity, and the power of community to break down barriers and build something better.
