This Polymer Chemistry and Soft Matter cross-journal collection will showcase cutting-edge research at the intersection of polymer science, materials chemistry, and soft matter physics, with a focus on additive manufacturing (AM) of soft materials.

We invite submission that explore:

  • Polymer chemistry for AM, including novel monomer and polymer synthesis, photopolymerization strategies, and dynamic covalent networks tailored for soft material printing.
  • Soft matter design and behavior, encompassing hydrogels, organogels, vitrimers, elastomers, and composite systems with tunable mechanical, rheological, and responsive properties.
  • Advanced AM techniques, such as light-mediated printing, extrusion-based methods, multi-material and multimodal printing, and integration with digital design and simulation.
  • Applications and performance in biomedical devices, tissue engineering, soft robotics, wearable electronics, and sustainable materials.

Submissions may span experimental, theoretical, and computational approaches, and should align with the core scopes of Polymer Chemistry, emphasizing macromolecular synthesis and properties, and Soft Matter, focusing on the fundamental understanding and application of soft materials.
