Communicating scientific information clearly and succinctly is an essential skill for chemists. Your challenge is to produce an essay on your chosen topic from the three options below. Essays must use Harvard Referencing Style and the references are included in the word count. Essays should be 1000-1500 words in length.
Choose one of the following three questions to answer:
1. What's the biggest chemical question that needs answering?
Hint: Discuss different aspects of climate change and how chemical processes could be used for this.
2. What chemical discoveries have had the biggest impact?
Hint: Look at the past - where would we be without chemistry? Are there specific reactions/ discoveries that have affected our current society.
3. How has the role of a chemist evolved and where will it evolve to?
Hint: Explore where chemistry started and where it might go. Discuss and draw upon chemical news and research.
